Title: “A City with a Positive Impact” – Youth for Sustainable Urban Change
Summary: Building on EU-GreW materials and methodologies, the Italian school Liceo Scientifico Statale “F. Masci” in Chieti developed an ambitious national initiative titled “A City with a Positive Impact,” supported by PMG Italia Benefit Corporation and the City Hall of Chieti. The project mobilized over 70 students and involved teachers, municipal partners, and two schools from Romania, transforming EU‑GreW classroom practices into a 33‑hour whole‑school program on sustainability, citizenship, and urban regeneration.
Key Features:
• Students created and presented green and social utility projects with measurable community benefits.
• Integrated debates, peer-to-peer collaboration, and digital storytelling aligned with EU-GreW methodologies.
• Produced videos, presentations, and campaigns for eco-friendly restoration of the River Pescara and Chieti’s municipal lake.
• Extended outcomes to an Erasmus+ KA121 mobility in Romania (May 2025), linking EU-GreW with other EU programmes.
Impact: This initiative scaled EU-GreW from classroom to city level, fostering collaboration between education, municipal policy, and international partnerships. It demonstrates how EU‑GreW can act as a catalyst for civic innovation, sustainability, and cross‑border cooperation.
